The Nano-Cam is available with or without a camera, depending on customer needs. This cutting-edge sensor monitors the 360o environment and gets simultaneously different traffic information such as speed, vehicle classification, tailgating, dimensions, direction, and counting. The urban version can detect infringements such as using a mobile phone while driving, no seat belt, running a red light or a stop sign, and automatic number-plate recognition.

A reliable tool for speeding violations, the Nano-Cam provides precise vehicle classification and accurate vehicle detection of speeding violations, even on busy, fast-paced roads. It can provide simultaneous discrimination of multiple targets, speed measurement, vehicle tracking even if in lane change, in all weather conditions.

Parifex says the Nano-Cam has been designed for smart mobility applications: vehicle counting, flow management (origin destination matrix), autonomous vehicles, risk detection (such as obstacle, vehicle,) parking, lighting, and truck control. Connected to automated street lighting, the device can control lighting level depending on factors such as traffic or weather conditions. When used in car parks, the Nano-Cam can provide automatic updating on parking availability.
