As visitors to the Q-Free stand will see, it is an integrated solution to manage highway traffic through real-time information collection, processing, and analysis.  It then disseminates to end users, in real time, about the road condition, traffic situations, incidents, and weather conditions on motorways.

Modularly based, the next-gen software comprises the schematic overview of the highway section with additional modules in charge of automatic vehicle classification and counting, incident detection, speed harmonisation, CCTV video surveillance, and weather data collection. The system also manages emergency SOS call boxes and variable message sign integration for managing traffic intelligently and efficiently. Using the latest state-of-the-art technologies, the application is built in accordance with the latest trends and best practices in IT.

The purpose of the central highway ATMS application is to enable motorway operators and concessionaires to monitor a complete motorway by various sensors and technologies. It also allows for customisation based on the needs and requirements of various motorway operators.

For proper training of traffic control centre supervisors, a special computer simulator module has been developed. The instructor can generate various traffic events that the traffic supervisor needs to properly manage to ensure maximum safety and smooth traffic flow. Based on the simulation, a statistical comparison of selected traffic flow parameters is performed, which is used to evaluate the traffic supervisor's actions.
