Darren Smith with the 'mini ITS' technology
CA Traffic, a leading supplier of traffic monitoring equipment to municipalities and local authorities worldwide, is here at Intertraffic 2012 to highlight its ‘mini ITS’ system.
Realising its customers required increased traffic management functionality, coupled with a need for cost-effectiveness, the company developed its ‘mini ITS’, a fully scaleable system that meets the needs of all users. By integrating the Black CAT traffic monitoring system with the EVO8 ANPR camera and sister company Techspan’s VMS systems, controlled by the Catalyst instation, CA Traffic has developed a system which demonstrates the its unique expertise in equipment design, manufacture and integration.
Here at Intertraffic 2012, this ‘mini ITS’ system is being shown transmitting data to the Catalyst instation to cost-effectively provide real time car park monitoring, queue length monitoring, traffic monitoring and control, ANPR data, journey time monitoring, as well as speed and weigh in motion enforcement, or any combination, to multiple back offices.
In the current economic climate, CA Traffic feels this innovative development efficiently offers the customer more for less; a cost effective traffic management solution and the ability to share resources. Catalyst has been designed so that it can be stand-alone in its own right or easily integrate in to existing traffic management systems.
Bernard Greene, managing director of CA Traffic, says: ‘The Catalyst product features highly in the company’s strategy to become a broader supplier to the ITS market in both emerging and established markets. It’s a very exciting development for the company’.
