Innovations in traffic management, lighting, signs
Swarco will have two separate stands at this year's Intertraffic event
Swarco will again have two separate stands at this year’s Intertraffic event – in hall 4 (Traffic Safety) and also in hall 10 (Traffic Management ).
ITS and traffic management solutions, all developed by Swarco, are centred around the open Omnia platform on stand 10.103. Intertraffic will see the premiere of Primos, a novel motorway system by Swarco Traffic Systems, while the latest traffic controller technology, brilliant LED traffic lights, public transport displays and sophisticated optics for variable message signs will also be highlighted. Stand illumination will be implemented with energy-efficient Futurlux LED street lights. A major innovation – EnergieParken -the combination of electrical vehicle charging and pay and display machine will be exclusively displayed on the stand.
The stand in hall 4 is where Swarco will highlight innovations in reflective glass beads and road marking materials, traffic signage, sign gantries, and street furniture. For instance, Swarco subsidiary Dambach-Werke will not only display complete signage solutions but also its bus-stop shelter and an inside lit LED sign for zebra-crossings. They became the first German supplier to receive the Rijkswaterstaat homologation for aluminum gantries, cantilevers and t-beams.
Swarco’s glass bead companies will display their special bead compositions for road, airfield and tunnel applications and show the innovative SolidPlus beads which have performed excellently in long-term test decks in Switzerland. Limburger Lackfabrik focuses on environmentally sound, fast-curing low-solvent and solvent-free marking systems with optimum wet night visibility. A new innovation is a waterborne elastic sealing for anti-skid surfaces on airfields. Preformed thermoplastic systems by IMS complement the highly diversified offer.
