Radar photo enforcement systems capture speeding drivers
Russian company Simicon is coming to Intertraffic with Cordon, its multi-target photo radar system designed for unattended photo capture of speeding violations and optionally, immediate transmission of the captured data for back office processing. The key feature of the device is its ability to simultaneously monitor the speed of either oncoming or outgoing vehicles in up to four lanes of contiguous traffic using one single speed sensor.
Simicon will also be highlighting its Binar radar gun with integrated video (pictured). According to the company, this device maintains continuous automatic management of the photography, freeing the officer to concentrate on enforcement. With the device doing all the work, there's no opportunity for a violator to slow down between being caught and being photographically captured.
