Arturo Corbi Vallejo discusses the ICM integration system
The future for transport in cities is more intelligence and not necessarily more roads, says Telvent. With this in mind, the company is showcasing its SmartMobility Integrated City Management (ICM) solution at Intertraffic for the first time.
Although ICM can be applied across all domains of a city, such as utilities and communications, it is the mobility aspects which are being emphasised here in Amsterdam.
“A ‘backbone’ for procedural management is missing from many cities, and that’s what SmartMobility ICM provides,” says Arturo Corbi, Vice President of Global Business Development.
“ICM is an integration system which gathers information from all kinds of traditional back-end systems of the types which have traditionally been used in exclusivity to run a city.
“It is aimed at three types of user: those involved in day-to-day management and operation of traffic and transit systems; their political masters, for whom it provides a decision-making ‘dashboard’ facility; and citizens, who can enjoy a more holistic perspective of their local environment.”
Additionally, Telvent will be presenting its capabilities for advanced traffic management, PAYD solutions, EV charging infrastructure and supervision services, as well as smart traveller information services.
