This year's Annual Meeting at Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee will see a valuable program of ITS Training sessions
In partnership with the US DOT/FHWA, ITS America will provide a new opportunity for public and private sector ITS and transportation professionals to attend official training courses conducted by US DOT instructors. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge base, grow professionally and take back real-world information that can help their ITS systems operate more efficiently.
There are three Training sessions which are free to paid registrants. The first, being held on Tuesday morning, April 23, is a two-part, 90-minute session. The first part is titled 'Improving Traffic Signal Management and Operations: A Systematic Approach', while Part 2 is SHRP2 Implementation. Training Session 2, 'An Introduction to ICM Development', being held on Wednesday, April 24, is a foundational half-day workshop, designed for transportation planners, managers, and engineers.
Meanwhile, Training Session 3 – Operations Performance Measures - also being held on Wednesday, is a half-day workshop that will feature a presentation on the importance of performance measures and management for operations from the federal perspective.
Attendees will receive one professional development hour (PDH) per hour of class attended.
