Eberle Design Inc. (EDI) and Reno A&E (RAE) will present their latest advancements in traffic detection, intersection safety monitoring and access control solutions at ITS America’s Annual Meeting & Expo.
Eberle Glance, RAE Glance and Data Aggregator (DA-100B) Series field monitoring device from Eberle Design’s iCITE (Intelligent Cabinet Interface for Transportation Equipment) product suite is being promoted as the first system capable of accessing real-time intersection and arterial traffic data from any traffic cabinet, via high-speed internal or external communications devices, regardless of the traffic controller or central ITS system. Traffic operations technicians and traffic engineers can now access real-time arterial traffic and intersection information such as vehicle counts by phase, phase status changes, cabinet alarms, and overall health of the traffic cabinet status from remote, non-interconnected intersections.
The companies will also feature x-Link which they say is the only interconnected grade-crossing operations recorder that incorporates high-resolution digital video and data of critical train and vehicle movements. x-Link records incidents at railroad grade crossings as it monitors both railroad and traffic cabinet operations and signal status.
Eberle Design and Reno A&E will also feature the Advanced Traffic Controller Cabinet, an open architecture traffic control cabinet designed to take advantage of ultra low-power LED signals, enhanced fail-safer design and diagnostics, and compact double-density size and modularity.
Meanwhile, Reno A&E’s Bicycle Detection & Differentiation System combines a C-series detector, with patented and enhanced algorithms using field proven prefabricated inductive loops for new and upgraded intersections. The special loop detectors identify all vehicles, including the ability to differentiate bicycles from all other vehicles, including scooters and motorcycles.
