Micheal De Santis, chairman of ITS Canada, welcoming to the ITS Canada booth Claude Carette
ITS Canada, the national organisation representing Canada’s ITS industry, was awarded the host country for the 2017 ITS World Congress, in partnership with ITS America. This 24th ITS World Congress will be held in Montreal, Quebec, one of Canada’s most beautiful cities and a strong advocate for integrated mobility in transportation.
At ITS Canada’s booth here in Detroit, the new logo for the 2017 World Congress was presented on Monday evening at an exclusive B2B Networking session that saw over 75 of ITS Canada’s partners, member firms and Canadian government representatives gather to celebrate the award of the 2017 ITS World Congress.
Pictured here is Micheal De Santis, chairman of ITS Canada, welcoming to the ITS Canada booth Claude Carette, director of transportation, infrastructure and roads with the city of Montreal, who was recently named the Chair of the 2017 ITS World Congress. He also joins the board of the ITS World Congress of the Americas along with several other prominent Canadian business leaders, who will be announced shortly.
Over the next three years, De Santis and Carette will lead the Canadian team responsible for planning and executing the Montreal World Congress, scheduled for 29 October – 2 November, 2017.
Also exhibiting on the ITS Canada booth are several ITS Canada members who are representative of the world-class technology firms that have emerged from the Canadian ITS industry.
They include Cellint, IMS, Electromega, Transport Canada, and the City of Montreal. These five exhibitors represent a portion of best and brightest of Canada’s technology industry and government partners and ITS Canada is grateful for their support.
