During this year’s ITS World Congress Montréal, Trafficware
University, the training arm of the traffic monitoring equipment company, will host classroom demonstrations at its booth.
As Trafficware points out, with the move towards smart cities, smart intersections and government-driven initiatives, transportation engineers must have the best-in-class technology. Lead Trainer and Synchro Product Manager Theresa Rohlfs will explain the latest advancements to the company’s flagship Synchro Traffic Analysis, Simulation and Optimization software, used in more than 90 countries.
Trafficware University will also host sessions on cloud-based traffic signal performance measures (SPM), Trafficware’s out-of-the-box software as a service (SaaS) solution for storing and analysing high-resolution data that is collected from a traffic signal network. This is the latest application in the Trafficware Cloud which also includes connected vehicle and parking guidance systems.
Engineers who visit the company’s booth will learn about deployed connected vehicle technology in use in Silicon Valley, Dallas Metro and Houston Metro that delivers vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) applications. The CV module allows transportation agencies to selectively publish traffic intersection data to auto manufacturer and other data integrators for the growing number of Connected Vehicle applications like “Talking Intersections”, which provide valuable intersection data to the driver, improving safety, reducing emissions, and more.
