The Hexagon Positioning and AutonomouStuff team celebrates success
Companies seeking a complete R&D platform to develop their autonomous vehicle products will see a comprehensive one-stop-shop package at the Hexagon Positioning Intelligence stand.
The company has partnered with AutonomouStuff to equip a vehicle with hardware including systems from NovAtel, a Hexagon Positioning Intelligence company based in Canada.
Hexagon Positioning Intelligence says that its focus is to develop functionally safe positioning solutions for the automotive industry and its partnership with AutonomouStuff has further enabled the implementation of Autonomous X - cars, UAVs, industrial vehicles, trains and marine vessels with pioneering positioning technologies.
The Lexus vehicle, which will be open for inspection, is part of Hexagon Positioning Intelligence’s programme to develop correction steering and position engines for the mass vehicle market. Hexagon Positioning Intelligence includes NovAtel and Veripos which are focused on global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and inertial navigation systems (INS). These include sensor fusion solutions, positioning algorithms, correction signals, post-processing software, receivers and antennas.
As part of this, NovAtel's SPAN GNSS+INS technology delivers easy-to-integrate packages designed to determine truth trajectories and benchmark autonomous solutions.
Hexagon Positioning Intelligence’s positioning engine accepts measurements from automotive grade GNSS chipsets, inertial measurement units (IMUs) and other sensors to produce an accurate position, velocity and attitude solution for vehicle or feature control. Combined with Hexagon Correction Services, the positioning engine improves the performance of any automotive grade GNSS hardware.
