Visitors to the Q-Free
stand have an opportunity to see the giant strides the company has made in parking technology in recent years, including the company’s ParQSense Smart Sensor product line, the latest advancement in on/off-street parking monitoring which will be commercially launched at this show
Make no mistake: this dual detection Smart Sensor is a disruptive technology in the parking industry. It is also more than proving its capabilities in several pilot projects around the world.
For instance, J.J. MacKay Canada (MacKay Meters) tested various outdoor sensor products with the intention of finding the right sensor to potentially be integrated into the company’s smart meter offering.
Over the last five months, the Q-Free ParQSense Smart Sensors have provided excellent durability and functionality in the harsh and often variable Nova Scotia weather. Additionally, detection accuracy significantly exceeded the required 98%. One of the biggest concerns, minimal detection time with back-end occupancy status detection of between four and 13 seconds, was successfully addressed with status reporting recorded.
“The Q-Free ParQSense Outdoor Sensors had some of the most accurate readings that we have seen during a pilot project like this,” says Jim Taylor business development manager for MacKay Meters.
“The data was clean and accurate, while the hardware was supported in a very professional way from the day these sensors were installed. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the pilot test results.”
