Visitors to the ETSI (the European Telecommunications Standards Institute
) stand can get the latest information about ICT standards for C-ITS, V2V, V2X and e-Call. The body drafts standards to ensure effective communications and interoperability and has more than 800 members worldwide including governments, industry and research bodies.
It is currently working on standards for protecting vulnerable road users, cooperative adaptive cruise control and platooning. Also under way is work on standards for urban mobility management, roadside platform architecture, integration of existing infrastructure, autonomous driving, integrated transport, digital maps and in-vehicle platform architecture.
Other work includes the inclusion of the LTE-V2X technology into the ITS framework and enhancing ITS-G5 technology and ITS Security.
