YoGoKo has installed its vehicle to everything (V2X) communication equipment on more than 100 road maintenance vehicles as part of the SCOOP@F cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) pilot in France. The deployment is in Brittany, the country’s second largest public market. The vehicles – including some motor coaches - are equipped with YoGoKo’s hybrid (ITS-G5/cellular) communication system, built around Y-SMART unified software platform.
SCOOP@F is designed to show that systems based on the exchange of information between vehicles - and between vehicles (V2V) and roads – will make travel safer. Vehicles are equipped with sensors to detect events such as slippery conditions or emergency braking ahead, and with on-board units to transmit the information to vehicles behind and to the road operator (V2I) through road side units.
YoGoKo says it will follow up with the “industrialisation of its C-ITS solutions as part of the new pilot deployment projects at European level”.
