In developing the sixth-generation MK6, Cohda drew upon its extensive experience and involvement in some of the world’s most high-profile trials and deployments.
The MK6 RSU (roadside unit) and OBU (on-board unit) offer the most comprehensive connectivity capabilities as standard, including DSRC, C-V2X, LTE/5G, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth. Cohda’s V2X stack and applications are already the most widely deployed in the industry, and the MK6 is its most capable, versatile, and powerful platform to date.
The MK6 has been certified by OmniAir and the FCC in the United States. In Europe, it holds CE, CPOC Level 1, and E1 certification with R10 and R118. It is also UKCA certified in the UK, ISED certified in Canada, and KC certified in South Korea, paving the way for deployment around the globe.
It features NXP Semiconductors’ RoadLink SAF5400 and SXF1800 chipsets, as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF Platform. Cohda states that this combination of technologies provides users with the reliability, flexibility, and interoperability they need to deploy with confidence — wherever they are in the world.
