The firm has completed its move into a new corporate HQ and manufacturing facility in Sugar Land, TX. The new facility allows for a much-needed increase in both production capacity and R&D workspace, in a building which blends function, aesthetic and room for inevitable expansion.

The new production facility paved the way for streamlining manufacturing operations and achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification. This standard specifies requirements for a quality management system demonstrating the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer, statutory and regulatory requirements, and which assure conformity.

Houston Radar is a key player in the traffic calming market, with its DR600 K-Band Doppler radar and SS400 Doppler sign activation/speed sensor, and is growing in the non-intrusive detection industry with its SpeedLane Pro true-dual beam side-fire radar and Armadillo Tracker Traffic Collector. Released in 2017, the SpeedLane Pro has recently been awarded multi-year contracts by Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Iowa Department of Transportation, and Central Florida Expressway Authority.
