Novax put all of its expertise from over 25 years in the design and manufacture of accessible pedestrian signals (APS) and traffic signal control into IntelliCross. The system is now programmable without the need for a laptop on site, but can be done using a smart phone, making it simpler and quicker.

IntelliCross APS is fully functional with all advanced features without the need to run wires from the controller cabinet. It is the only system that is easily field upgradable to central control with just the addition of a CIU-C to cabinet power - no additional wires required.

Add to the basic IntelliCross unit a DS100 Series APS unit to improve crosswalk safety for visually impaired pedestrians. The unit has up to four walk ‘cuckoo’ and ‘peep’ directional sounds approved by Transportation Association of Canada and other North American transportation authorities.

Customised voice messages are available as an option. A Dynamic Proportional Volume Compensation system monitors ambient noise level and adjusts output to ensure audibility of the signal. Meanwhile, an optional Sound Inhibit allows the audible signal to be disabled at sensitive periods, during complex traffic phases, or as required.
