Commsignia marked the opening of ITSWC with the release of the latest version of Commsignia Central, its device monitoring and management platform.
Santa Clara, California-based Commsignia, a specialist in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) and Cooperative ITS (C-ITS) solutions, said that the new version breaks down the barriers that prevent the information generated by siloed proprietary systems being shared among relevant personnel.
These “outdated and restrictive ‘walled gardens’…have long hindered progress in Intelligent Transportation Systems,” the company said. “Commsignia Central eliminates proprietary lock-in by allowing agencies to monitor and manage devices from multiple vendors in one centralised platform, including any Roadside Unit and diverse ITS devices, sensors, and data sources.
“Legacy closed systems have left agencies with fragmented data and under-utilised infrastructure. From pedestrians to emergency responders, everyone benefits from seamless data exchange and optimised traffic flow.”
Commsignia Central does this by leveraging V2X standards, aggregating inputs from multiple sources and providing information to drivers to prevent accidents.
The equipment allows operators to configure, monitor, and manage both Commsignia and third-party V2X RSUs and ITS devices at scale. Its open ecosystem approach ensures agencies can future-proof their ITS investments while reducing costs and operational complexity, the company said.
This latest version of Commsignia Central is ready for deployment now.
