Telecom giant Ericsson is attending its first ITS World Congress this year in Atlanta, aiming to highlight its extensive cellular first connectivity expertise in the transportation industry.
According to Dee Dee Pare, senior product marketing manager, Ericsson brings cellular-first connectivity to ITS deployments – whether it’s in-vehicle, IoT environments or fixed-site connectivity. As ITS applications get more advanced and more complex, the amount of data flowing over these networks will continue to grow, necessitating 5G cellular performance.
Pare highlights Ericsson’s involvement in the Peachtree Corners V2X project with Bosch and T-Mobile, providing cellular connectivity for the city’s intelligent intersections, smart parking and driverless shuttle deployments.
