QRO is emphasising the combination of compactness and precision in its range of detection and recognition devices on show at the ITS World Congress.
The UK company says that one of its differentiating features is the integration of multiple features – such as built-in GPS, 4G connectivity, wi-fi capabilities and H.264 video streaming – into devices that are offered with extremely keen base unit pricing.
Its Harrier Mini and Harrier AI Fixed ANPR cameras provide what the company describes as comprehensive video analytics that identify make, model, colour and vehicle classification.
Its development roadmap will add further AI-enabled video analytics functions that will be designed to enhance users’ solution capabilities. These will include ADR (Hazard) plate detection, advisory vehicle speed monitoring and the detection of violations such as seat belt and mobile phone use.
The company’s emphasis on small size and precision can be seen in its Harrier Mini Fixed ANPR camera, for example, which weighs less than one kilo and is incorporated into a 190mm x 99mm x 63mm package and can be used as either a fixed or mobile/redeployable camera.
Its sister-device, the Harrier AI Fixed ANPR camera, uses a motorised zoom lens that, when mounted above the roadway, can monitor three adjacent carriageways each of 3.75m width.
