Umovity has Epiq plans for smarter sensing

August 25, 2025
Jim Madden of Umovity

Econolite and PTV Group, under the unified brand Umovity, are here to feature their industry-leading suite of smart mobility solutions, including the introduction of Econolite’s newest detection sensor solution, Epiq Radar, as well as the latest developments with PTV Group’s Model2Go software.

Econolite’s Epiq Radar is the newest smart radar sensor solution, delivering superior detection precision, performance, and reliability.

Key features include a built-in 1080p camera (30 FPS) with low-light sensitivity with less than one-second latency for visual validation.

Umovity will also unveil PTV Model2Go for PTV Vissim, bringing automated, ready-to-use microsimulation models to the world’s leading traffic simulation software. Developed in collaboration with Japanese high-definition map data provider Dynamic Map Platform (DMP), the new combination eliminates the need for time-consuming manual network creation, dramatically reducing project workloads.

In addition, Umovity will detail the latest on its partnership with the City of Hamburg, Germany’s State Office for Roads, Bridges, and Waterways (LSBG), showcasing how Umovity is providing a comprehensive Dynamic Multimodal Network Management solution. Umovity is supporting LSBG in developing the city’s vision of an integrated Mobility Operating System (MOS) — a new way to connect and coordinate transport and mobility services more effectively.

Stop by the Umovity stand on Tuesday, 1:15–1:30 pm, to participate in an in-booth session hosted by Melanie Mergler (LSBG) and Uwe Reiter (PTV Group) on LSBG’s pioneering MOS project.
