Integrated traffic management and city efficiency
Visitors to this year’s Intertraffic will have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge about SmartCity, a joint offering announced just a few months ago by global energy management specialist Schneider Electric and its recently acquired subsidiary Telvent. SmartCity, an integrated suite of solutions, combines state-of-the-art hardware, software and services to deliver better infrastructure efficiency, increased sustainability and improved city services. At Intertraffic the emphasis will be on the mobility solutions components of SmartCity which provide an array of integrated tools for traffic and transit management.
Telvent will be presenting the SmartMobility ICM platform, which it claims is a unique world class integrated city management platform which improves citizen mobility through an efficient operation of the transportation network and city resources.
SmartMobility ICM empowers city traffic and transit operators enabling ‘situation awareness’ and coordination between agencies to reduce congestion, promote multi-modal travel, increase drivers safety and meet transportation demand providing citizens with accurate pre-trip and on route travel information while reducing CO2 emissions.
Additionally, Telvent will be presenting its capabilities for advanced traffic management, PAYD solutions, EV charging infrastructure and supervision services, as well as smart traveller information services.
