Kria's Stefano Arrighetti with the new version of the T-EXPEED camera
Kria is exhibiting a new OEM version of its T-EXSPEED camera at Intertraffic. Suitable for a variety of fixed and mobile applications, the new OEM version consists of the same technological platform as the company’s T-EXSPEED V2.0 but can be adapted or built up as a modular system to suit customers’ specific requirements.
Kria is also presenting a new solution to face recognition – mandatory in some European markets – but the best news for Kria since the last Intertraffic in 2010, says company president Stefano Arrighetti, is deployment of T-EXSPEED in four out of five continents.
“National certifications take time and installations are still partial and in progress, but pilot systems are working and have been real success stories; we can easily support them remotely via internet and with training sessions in Italy or at customers’ sites,” Arrighetti says. “We have also been pleased to see market needs developing in line with what we have been advocating, developing and deploying since 2006. Enforcement of speed and red light violations are only a small part of what transport administrations and police may require from a road device.
“Our research and development strategy is a mix of patent protected 3D computer vision technology, balanced with customer and market needs, gathering a range of information from bespoke installations. For these reasons we are progressing with new projects and developments soon to exit our laboratories.”
