Vehicle detection and identification specialist Nedap AVI (automatic vehicle identification) will be demonstrating how its products and innovations fit the company’s vision of mobility in the smart city at Intertraffic.
New Nedap products include Dual!D – an extension to its range of UHF driver and vehicle combination readers. Dual!D allows access only for authorised vehicle and driver combinations – functionality previously offered by Nedap’s high end TRANSIT product line and now made available for the cost efficient uPASS Reach UHF reader.
Nedap is also introducing E-Parking License (EPL) an extension to its SENSIT parking occupancy management system. EPL registers specific parking spaces for pre-registered users (permit holders, disabled, VIP members etc). When a vehicle is parked in a designated EPL parking bay, a small electronic device in the vehicle registers itself. The SENSIT system sends an alert when potential abuse is detected, optimising availability of parking for intended users.
SENSIT consists of a network of wireless vehicle detection sensors that provides real-time parking data for guidance, alerting and reporting. For this system Nedap developed SENSIT Surface Mount, a wireless sensor that can be mounted on car park surfaces without drilling into the floor.
Nedap recently expanded its product portfolio for long range identification with ANPR Access, a licence plate reader designed specifically for vehicle access control.
