Machine vision specialist Point Grey is exhibiting a new line of cameras for the ITS sector. These retain the reliability and imaging performance inherent to high-end machine vision cameras whilst providing the flexibility needed for use in a wide variety of traffic applications, the company says.
The new Zebra2 camera makes it possible to simultaneously view low latency uncompressed video over HD-SDI, send compressed or uncompressed images over Gigabit Ethernet for image processing and recording whilst supporting real-time alarm/trigger input and output.
Point Grey is also showing the Chameleon, which features the highly sensitive Sony EXview HAD CCD sensor. The Chameleon will be shown connected to an inexpensive board computer via USB 2.0, demonstrating the ability to construct a powerful image processing system with minimal investment.
