The new Sensebit Traffic Measurement System (STMS) is being exhibited for the first time at Intertraffic.
The system consists of STMS WD-300 vehicle detectors that can be deployed for short-term measurements in multiple configurations and which can be installed in a road typically in less than 15 minutes per lane. No roadside equipment is required. The WD-300 uses magnetometer technology to detect, classify and measure the velocity of passing vehicles and sends data via a public cellular network.
For continuous real-time data, the STMS ED-100 vehicle detector is used instead, delivering data via Ethernet. The system can be controlled remotely.
The STMS administrative interface, TrafficWeb, is a web-based system in which users can schedule data collection, extract traffic data and monitor system status.
