Sustainable traffic management, enforcement
Siemens UK will exhibit a number of key products from its growing portfolio of international traffic solutions at Intertraffic 2012. For instance, it will be launching an all new cloud-based low emission zone (LEZ) solution that is currently on trial in the UK. Siemens says the solution is a world first and meets an expanding need in the marketplace globally - helping cities, towns and national governments to improve the air quality for their citizens.
The company will also showcase the SafeZone solution, its innovative approach to average speed enforcement. SafeZone cameras can monitor two lanes of traffic in both directions, significantly reducing the cost of deployment and system complexity. And with the distance between each camera outstation approved to a minimum of just 75 metres, average speed enforcement can be deployed as an effective alternative to existing analogue fixed speed camera sites and for larger deployment in urban areas.
Also being featured will be Siemens’ complete range of Heimdall above-ground traffic detectors and the compact and fast CP500A charging point, which can charge two vehicles at the same time.
