Among a number of innovations that Cubic
Transportation Systems will feature at the ITS World Congress Montréal will be the company’s transport management platform, self-service virtual ticket kiosk, along with Real-Time Passenger Information (RTPI) transit agency and customer technologies.
Cubic’s transport management system specialises in the development and supply of complex traffic management systems for the monitoring and control of urban and intra-urban road networks. It encompasses integrated traffic and incident management, decision support, bus tracking and passenger information through integrated user interfaces supported on single platform.
Another feature of the company’s presence at the ITS World Congress will be the Cubic Virtual Ticket Agent, which will be featured at the ITS Singapore exhibit, one of five cities participating in the Smart Cities Pavilion, highlighting some of the world’s best solutions for next-generation integrated mobility solutions in urban settings. This hybrid of a virtual walk-up ticket office and ticket vending machine is video-linked to a live operator at a call center. The system helps public transit agencies to decrease, or eliminate, the need for customer service representatives at the least busy stations on a rail line, improve customer service at unattended devices and more easily address clients speaking different languages.
Cubic will also feature the next-generation platform from NextBus, the leader in RTPI systems designed for multimodal transit agencies, authorities and operators. The NextBus Suite introduces a new Transit Management as a Service (TMaaS), cloud-based, machine learning architecture that will deliver the industry’s further enhanced RTPI, proactive transit fleet operations and mobile user experience.
