(IRD) will demonstrate its new Vehicle Information in Motion (VI2M) software at the ITS World Congress Montréal. The company says this solution unlocks the value of the information collected at Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) stations and Data Collection sites.
The VI2M suite provides cloud-based data collection, facilitates off-line reporting and supports the monitoring of traffic operations on a network wide basis. VI2M collects traffic counts and CVO data from individual stations and provides a multi-agency/multi-user web-based access to a multitude of reporting, analysis and monitoring capabilities that are all accessible through a widget-based user interface.
“The data collected through the operation of our systems has tremendous value to our current and future customers,” says Michael Wieck, IRD’s VP of ITS Data Solutions. “Standardising the collection and storage of data in the Cloud enables us to provide a core platform of data services. We are partnering with our customers to create solutions that are of value to them, simplifying and enhancing the flow of information. Rather than having to manually sift through massive amounts of data, our solutions provide valuable and actionable information, notifying our customers of anomalies, providing trending analysis and reports tailored to their needs - as input to planning activities, operational improvements, or supporting investment decisions.”
