Day 1
Video software specialist TrafficVision is at World Congress to launch TrafficVisionTMC 2.1 which comes with Measure of Traffic (MOT) assessment and exclusion zones. By monitoring both the speed and volume of traffic in a camera’s range, MOT can provide immediate notification of changes that indicate potential need for intervention.

Operators can define exclusion zones to refine the area of the image that is monitored for incidents and congestion. Incidents such as stopped vehicles, debris in the roadway, wrong-way drivers, slowed traffic, congestion and pedestrians in the road can be detected and notification sent immediately the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) or to operators by text or email.

The company says its technology works on any video stream to turn highway cameras into intelligent sensors and the software can be integrated into an ATMS with simple APIs.
