Adec detects route to success

Day 2

Swiss company Adec Technologies is highlighting two product lines here in Copenhagen – traffic detectors and parking occupancy detectors. Adec traffic detectors are specifically designed for traffic management applications. Mounted on existing gantries, overpasses or inside tunnels, they accurately measure each vehicle’s class and speed. This data, acquired around critical sections on the highway, is used to adjust the speed limit to keep the traffic flow smooth and minimise stop and go traffic.

The company’s battery-powered parking occupancy detectors integrate four sensors and RF for status transmission. A purpose-built IoT gateway, with solar option, manages up to 100 parking occupancy detectors within a 250-metre range.

The gateway uses a 3G modem to transmit parking occupancy changes to the Adec cloud. That way, up-to-date parking occupancy information is accessible through the web browser, DET-Soft Windows software or any third-party software through the Restful web API. Third-party integration allows for any stationary or mobile software to access the relevant occupancy data.
