Vaimoo is to connect more than 5100 smart electric bikes to CityBike Global's technology platform as part of a new sharing service in the Swedish capital Stockholm.

Vaimoo says the new e-bike sharing service will provide the city with vehicles that are sustainable thanks to the recycled aluminium frame and the fast swappable battery with large capacity.

The e-bikes will be connected to a flexible management system that can be integrated with existing systems and will reduce urban clutter by enabling virtual stations where vehicles can be parked after rental, the company adds.

CityBike Global CEO Jordi Cabanas says: “we are proud of being selected as partner by the City of Stockholm to run this strategic service which will provide an alternative active mobility to the citizens of Stockholm. This new CityBike project reinforce our European leading position in public micro-mobility services.”

Vaimoo founder Matteo Pertosa says: “Partnering with CityBike Global in the Stockholm project is a great pride both personal and for the whole Vaimoo team, constantly committed to the design and implementation of complete and easily integrable sharing systems for an alternative, sustainable and inclusive mobility.”

Vaimoo designs and develops micromobility solutions to meet reliability and sustainability for municipalities and operators.

CityBike Global is a Spanish micromobility company that operates in Europe and Latin America with more than 30,000 vehicles.
