KBC launches industrially hardened PoE switches

KBC Networks has expanded its series of Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches with new units featuring extended operating temperature ranges for a wide range of industrial, non-conditioned and outdoor applications. The switches are either IEEE 802.3af compliant or, the higher powered IEEE 802.3at which is suitable for most PTZ cameras. Some models have PoE++ ports and all the new switches are optimised for 4K video, and in CCTV mode they support 250m cable runs with PoE.

KBC Networks has launched a series of environmentally hardened, Ethernet edge switches. The ES range includes an unmanaged entry-level series, suitable for straightforward IP camera networks, as well as switches that offer fibre interfaces, embedded serial server data ports and Small Form Pluggable (SFP) ports - a flexible port that allows users to select either a fibre SC or RJ45 interfaces.

The first of the new products is a fully ruggedised 10/100 Ethernet media converter with PoE+ that conforms to the higher power specifications necessary for PTZ and dome cameras. KBC Networks has announced its new WESII line of wireless products that build upon the success of the company's wireless point-to-point and point-to-multipoint offerings with a host of new features and capabilities.
