Viva provides artificial intelligence (AI) powered traffic monitoring, road safety and signal control for cities that want the most accurate, reliable and scalable transport insights. Data is collected from sensors deployed on roadways and processed by the company’s AI algorithms on the edge to create insights that can be acted on in the moment. This allows customers to make quick decisions—such as changing a red light or extending a walk sign.
“We facilitate a highly efficient data flow across traffic management systems,” said Mica de Boer, head of international sales for the company. “Because we process data on the edge and only send meta data to traffic management centers.”
Viva has 10 US based customers – including Culver City, Calif., New York City, Alexandria, Vir. and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC).
