Flow Labs' traffic management system is now operational across 2,000 intersections in the Orlando metropolitan area, following a pilot.

The deal with Florida Department of Transportation (FDoT) integrates Luminus, Luminus Plus and Flow RT - Flow Labs’ real-time AI platform - into FDOT’s existing infrastructure, including its advanced traffic management system, allowing it to monitor, analyse and respond to traffic conditions in real time.

Flow Labs says the system gives FDoT validated, real-time turning movement counts.

"Historically one of the most difficult and expensive datasets for agencies to obtain, turning movement counts have traditionally been limited to short-term manual field studies," the firm adds.

“By validating accuracy in the pilot, we built the foundation for trust,” says Jatish Patel, CEO of Flow Labs.

“FDoT can now leverage data that was once rare, costly, and static—transforming it into an operational tool for managing traffic every day.”

Tushar Patel, Interim TSMO Manager for FDoT District Five, says: “The Flow Labs platform provides us with system-wide, real-time visibility that we’ve never had before. With this live deployment, we’re better equipped to manage traffic, enhance safety, and serve the travelling public."
