Scientific papers should be based on recent research and scholarly achievements.
Technical papers can also address institutional, business or economic aspects of ITS
Special Interest Sessions are designed to foster in-depth discussions on key ITS issues, providing a platform for "knowledge sharing and meaningful dialogue within the ITS community".
A vision of smart mobility in mid-sized cities - Gangneung, on the east coast of Korea, has a population around 200,000 - is the overarching theme of the event, with the umbrella tag 'Beyond Mobility, Connected World'.
Cooperative ITS (C-ITS), Mobility as a Service, urban air mobility, autonomous vehicles and smart cities will be among the topics covered, in a programme that includes academic sessions, roundtables, technical visits and demonstrations - as well as an exhibition.
Held at Gangneung Olympic Park, the hosts of the Congress are the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Gangneung City.
It is organised by ITS Korea in partnership with ITS Asia-Pacific, ITS America and Ertico - ITS Europe.
ITS International is proud to be Official Publisher of the Daily News at the event, which runs from 19-23 October 2026.
