ITS World Congress 2026: get your submissions in

The official website for the ITS World Congress 2026 in Gangneung, Republic of Korea, has gone live - and paper and session submissions are now open.

Papers should be submitted through the official website, with a deadline of 31 January 2026.

Each submission will be peer-reviewed by experts from the three ITS World Congress regions - and papers "should not be too commercially oriented".

Scientific papers should be based on recent research and scholarly achievements. 

Technical papers can also address institutional, business or economic aspects of ITS 

Special Interest Sessions are designed to foster in-depth discussions on key ITS issues, providing a platform for "knowledge sharing and meaningful dialogue within the ITS community".

A vision of smart mobility in mid-sized cities - Gangneung, on the east coast of Korea, has a population around 200,000 - is the overarching theme of the event, with the umbrella tag 'Beyond Mobility, Connected World'.

Cooperative ITS (C-ITS), Mobility as a Service, urban air mobility, autonomous vehicles and smart cities will be among the topics covered, in a programme that includes academic sessions, roundtables, technical visits and demonstrations - as well as an exhibition.

Held at Gangneung Olympic Park, the hosts of the Congress are the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Gangneung City.

It is organised by ITS Korea in partnership with ITS Asia-Pacific, ITS America and Ertico - ITS Europe.
