Nextbike takes over VéloCité rental in eastern France

Plan is for bike-share scheme to grow to 640 in Mulhouse and surrounds

Nextbike has taken over VéloCité's bike rental operation in the French city of Mulhouse, close to the borders with Switzerland and Germany, and expanded its bike sharing service.

It starts with 300 bikes at 26 stations, mainly in Mulhouse. 

By June 2025, Nextbike plans to grow the network to 64 locations in the neighbouring towns of Rixheim, Illzach, Kingersheim, Riedisheim, Sausheim, Brunstatt-Didenheim and Wittenheim. 

It says it also wants to more than double the fleet to 640 bikes. As an initial special offer, the monthly tariff will be just €1.50 until 30 June.
