The equipment will be specially adapted for the local market and will be delivered during the current year. "This pilot order comes from a new market for Sensys in Asia, with considerable future potential. A study carried out by Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s Department of Public Works shows drops in both traffic crashes and violations at selected intersections in the five years since the city launched a traffic light camera program. The study evaluated intersections where traffic cameras were installed in 2008 and 2009 by comparing the average number of crashes in the years before and after the cameras took effect, and showed a sharp decline in right-angle crashes - considered the most dangerous type of collisions

Royal Imtech (Imtech) has appointed Felix N Colsman as a member of the Board of Management of Imtech with effect from 1 October 2013. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval at a future Extraordinary General Meeting. Inattentive motorists in California’s Butte County will soon be reminded that they are going too fast now that the Sheriff's department has taken delivery of its first self-contained radar speed sign, purchased with a grant from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The signs have been proved to be effective in reminding people that they are speeding when they are not paying attention to their rate of travel. Washington, DC, Department of Transportation is rolling out a new system of traffic cameras designed to target over-sized trucks driving on residential streets. Police and the DOT have received complaints about trucks ignoring signs warning truck drivers not to pass through residential areas, so they’re testing the eight new cameras. Taiwan is to move to non-invasive enforcement technology, with the award to Jenoptik Traffic Solution Division of a contract to supply fixed speed enforcement systems. The new contract includes the supply of MultaRadar S580 non-invasive speed enforcement systems with a high resolution digital Robot SmartCamera. Jenoptik is also installing its Swiss Federal Office of Metrology and Accreditation (METAS) approved non-invasive red light enforcement systems. The system, based on the latest multiple target tracki
