TagMaster is initially introducing the XT-2eu and XT-2us to its UHF series. The XT-2eu is designed to comply with the European regulations for ISO18000-6 type C, while the XT-2us is designed for the North American regulations, in terms of frequency range and output power.
The XT reader family is equipped with the same Linux operating system thus supporting the same reader software applications used in the market leading LR series of readers from TagMaster. These applications will now be available in the XT series, providing extensive functionality and communication options. The company points out that this makes integrating the XT series to management systems and other equipment both quick and easy.
The new range of passive UHF ID-tags fully support EPC Gen 2 standard. TagMaster will offer both standard EPC Gen 2 ID-tags as well as the company's 'Secure MarkID' format, an EPC Gen 2 compliant ID-tag which provides added security in terms of a unique identity which cannot be duplicated.
