Commsignia has more than ten years of experience in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) solutions to combine UWB technology with roadside V2X devices to warn drivers of the presence of pedestrians near the road. UWB acts as a sensor, providing position data to the V2X roadside unit. Location data is converted to V2X messages that can be processed by in-vehicle V2X on-board devices.

The V2X roadside unit can also fuse data from the UWB with data from other sensors to significantly increase the reliability of the data. This will help avoid false alarms and increases user confidence in road safety systems.
