Intertraff announces upgrade to D-cop Mobile system

Intertraff is using Intertraffic for the unveiling of a significant upgrade to its D-cop Mobile, portable speed camera system. It transitions from the traditional xenon-based flash — which required a one-second cool-down period after 4-6 consecutive uses — to an advanced Infrared (IR) illuminator. This innovative feature is invisible to drivers and allows for rapid triggering, up to 25 times per second, ensuring a more efficient and discreet operation.

This technology now provides customers with advanced speed enforcement cameras featuring plate recognition, capable of monitoring multiple lanes day and night.

D-cop Mobile is a flexible speed enforcement system for both tripod and in-vehicle mounting, capable of capturing accurate violation images across multiple lanes of traffic. The system can enforce two separate speed limits, one for trucks and another for standard vehicles. In addition, it can monitor other types of violations such as tailgating, vehicles using the hard shoulder, and trucks driving in the wrong lane.

Engineered for extreme weather, D-cop operates effectively without heaters or fans, boasting zero maintenance and low power use. It operates between -25º and +60ºC, with solar panel compatibility, allowing the installation of the system in desert areas with no power connections.

An internal lithium-ion battery powers D-cop, offering fast charging (60% in under an hour) and 15 hours of continuous operation. The system's setup is straightforward, requiring no cables and providing Wi-Fi control via laptops or tablets. Its software is intuitive, available in English and Arabic. Additionally, the system is remarkably lightweight, weighing only 4kg, including the battery.
