According to NoTraffic’s co-founder and CEO Tal Kreisler, many V2X trials are failing to achieve their objectives due to cost, limitations in existing infrastructure, safety regulations and scalability.

It’s Kreisler’s hope that providing V2X capabilities in its AI Mobility Platform will take pressure off transportation agencies and allow them to implement the new technology in a less risky phased approach.

“NoTraffic AI Mobility Platform provides all ITS needs in an intersection, then, when the time is right, they can gradually adopt V2X capabilities,” Kreisler said. “Making sure their existing infrastructure is V2X compatible makes it more likely these projects will be successful.”

NoTraffic solves common V2X challenges by connecting to any existing infrastructure via any communications protocols (even controllers deployed decades ago), by automating map generation and updates to ensure data is always up to date and by providing awareness of connected and unconnected vehicles. Combined with the company’s 24x7 monitoring and services, the openness of the platform makes it easier to implement V2X capabilities when the time is right.
