Antaira solution focuses on high-power cameras

ITS networks, especially camera and video-based systems, for hostile freeway and intersection environments need increasingly to be more robust. In the past, an injector was needed to power each traffic camera. Now, Antaira’s managed industrial ethernet switch provides an easy solution to power high-power cameras at the IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 PoE power specification of up to 95W.

This 12-port fully managed Light Layer 3 industrial switch provides up to 95W of power with as low as 12V DC power input for the onboard vehicle, up to 180W at 24V DC for solar and up to a total PoE power budget of 240W at 36~55V DC for traffic cabinet applications.

Ping Alive is a simple yet powerful feature that gives traffic engineers and technicians control over failed communication of edge devices. It pings the activity or inactivity of powered devices. It allows an automatic reboot when a connected device becomes unresponsive, saving the engineer a site visit to investigate the problem.

Safe PoE Disable is a patented hardware safety feature for power over ethernet where engineers can easily turn on/off power to a single 802.3BT PoE port using a front panel DIP switch.

Persistent PoE provides powered devices with uninterrupted PoE power. This keeps the network stable while securely capturing critical moments in the event of a firmware upgrade or switch reboot.
