The system’s high-quality, high-resolution video analytics accurately classifies vehicles and collects other traffic management data – such as vehicle speed, vehicle volumes, and traffic patterns. According to Maria Kolar, a marketing manager for the company, the Rekor Edge Flex will be deployed over the next several months by several transportation departments across the U.S. Southeast – some of which will be installed in parallel deployments with legacy loop deployments to give the company and its early customers a chance to test accuracy.
